CANCER

Your money house gets even stronger in the month ahead. In August, 60 per cent of the plants are in or moving through your 2nd house. Wow! That’s a lot of earning power. This is the major headline this month. |So take advantage of these strong influences.

On the 9th Mars, your career planet (and also the planet that rules bosses, parents and parent figures) moves into your money house and remains there for the month ahead. This demonstrates that you have the financial favour of these people. Money can be coming from the administration too. Pay rises, rebates, financial gifts and refunds are possible.

By the 23rd, most of your financial goals have either been attained or good progress has been achieved toward them. You seem satisfied and are ready to proceed toward other interests. Though the interest in finance is not as prominent there is a very nice payday period from the 26th to the 28th. This could also be a higher-paying job opportunity.

On August 11, Jupiter, which has been in your money house since July 2014, moves into your 3rd house of communication. Sun will follow the 23rd. This provides us with many messages. First, you are probably considering buying a new car (and a good one as well) and additional communication or technical equipment in the year ahead. You can spend on communication gadgets and can learn from this too. Those of you in sales, marketing, advertising or PR – and those of you who are teachers and writers – will have a strong financial month. Whatever business you’re involved with, good sales and marketing, good PR, skilful use of the media are very important in August.

Siblings and sibling figures begin to prosper now and they seem financially supportive. Money is drawn close to home in the neighbourhood, and perhaps through neighbours. Siblings and neighbours seem receptive to your business or career ideas and financial thinking.

You are in an intellectual stage in your life now. Intellectual wealth is just as much wealth as monetary wealth, and this is precisely what happening to you now. You are building your intellectual property portfolio these days.

This power in the 3rd house is wonderful for students at both school and college level. There is success in studies now. College applicants should hear good news.
As we mentioned, clarity is truly starting to happen in love. Saturn moves forward on the 2nd after countless months of retrograde motion. You are ready to move forward as well. Social confidence is much stronger these days – and the judgement will be better as well. Love happens more easily after the 23rd than before.
Health and energy are always excellent. They are not perfect, but they are good. You can improve your health even further in the ways mentioned in the yearly report.

AQUARIUS

Health and energy still need watching until the 23rd. This is especially the case for those of you born late in the sign of Aquarius – on February 17 or 18. Review our discussion of this last month. The head and face should be paid extra attention until the 9th. Scalp and facial massage, and Indian head massage therapy, will all be good. Physical exercise is equally beneficial.

Love is always the main headline this month. Your 7th house of love is expected to be very powerful, with 60 per cent of the plants either there or moving through there this month. For the unattached, this shows many, countless romantic possibilities – perhaps too many. It can be confusing. Still, it is a nice problem to have. However, momentous decisions about love shouldn’t be taken this month: Venus, the generic love planet, is retrograde all month. Let love develop as it will, but be discerning and careful in your choices

Finances become more stressful this month, especially after the 23rd. Neptune, your financial planet, is still retrograde all month, and after the 23rd he now begins to receive stressful aspects. So, earnings will happen, but you’ll work together harder for them, and overcome more obstacles than usual, so plan for this and keep a close eye on your spending OK

The good news is the case that while your personal earning power is not at its best, spouse, partner or current love is in a yearly financial peak. He or she can take up the slack, in the short-term. Jupiter’s move into your 8th house on the 11th indicates that the beloved continues to have a prosperous year ahead. He or she seems lucky in speculations and in financial risk-taking. The beloved is about be more generous with you too – a freer spender, with some nice purchases to improve the home or a very nice planned holiday.

While finances might be temporarily challenging (things will improve in a month or so), your career seems very fruitful from the 11th onwards. Promotions can happen. Happy career opportunities come. Your professional achievements are appreciated. Friends also seem very helpful in the career after Jupiter’s move. Online activities are equally accommodating.

Your 8th house of transformation becomes very intense after the 23rd (and will be tough for the rest of the year). So you are placed in a more sexually active kind of period. Whatever your age or stage in life, the libido is greater than usual. Detox and weight-loss regimes are appropriate. It will be pleasant to get rid of the clutter in your life as well – possessions that you no longer need or use. Nice to do away with mental and emotional patterns that don’t serve your interest.

ARIES

On the 23rd of last month, as the Sun entered your 5th house of fun, you entered one of your yearly personal peaks. This remains in effect until the 23rd of this month. Its party time, time to explore the rapture of life. This personal pleasure peak will be stronger than in most past years as Jupiter is also in line with the 5th house at the beginning of the month. By the 23rd, you will have got some of the high spirits out of your system are able to be ready to get more serious in the weeks to come.

Retrograde activity among the planets is always intense, but it is a little less than last month – only 40 per cent of the planets are retrograde. The most prominent retrograde for you to consider is the intermittent retrograde of Venus which began late last month (on the 25th). This shows that a review is in order to both the financial and love life. This is no longer a time for making major purchases, investments or love decisions, but for doing your homework on these matters to improve your attitude toward these areas.

Venus retrograde will not stop earnings or love, but will slow things down a bit. A payment that was promised can be carried over. A cheque you received can bounce – perhaps due to errors at the bank or in the sender’s accounting or online banking. That great deal on an appliance might have proven to be not such a great deal in a few weeks down the road when you find the same item (or a better one) for less in another store or online. Those shares that you saw as so unbelievably cheap get even cheaper with time. Caution. Caution. Caution. Be careful with spending socially and on the home too

In spite of the retrograde, there are some nice financial and romantic happenings. Venus travels with Jupiter from the 3rd to the 6th. A nice payday and/or romantic meeting is indicated, but it might be postponed because of the retrograde. There is luck in speculations during that period too – only doesn’t lose or misplace your lottery ticket, if you play.

There is luck in speculation from the 26th to the 28th as well, when the Sun travels with Jupiter. Those of you into the creative arts are especially inspired during this period, and children or children figures of the appropriate age are especially fertile.

Jupiter makes a major move into your 6th house of health and work on the 11th, and remains there well into 2016. This is a critical aspect for job seekers; there are dream jobs out there for you. The month ahead, in general, is great for job seekers – especially after the 23rd.

Your career planet, Saturn, really starts to move forward on August 2. Clarity and direction are happening in your career now, and pretty soon – in the next two months – you can start taking overt actions in this sphere. Right now, however, most of the planets are still below the horizon and the focus remains on home and family.

CAPRICORN

Your 8th house of transformation and regeneration has been strong all year, and last month it became stronger still. This remains the situation until the 23rd of this month: 60 per cent of the plants are either in the 8th house or moving through there this month.

The 8th house is one of those mysterious, difficult to understand houses. It deals with the ‘underworld’ in ourselves – things we want to cover up. So when the 8th house is strong, we find we are dealing more with “death” – transformation and possibly with actual bereavement issues, with estates and taxes. The sexual appetite and libido are increased. We could be attending memorial services or hearing about near-death kinds of experiences – and sometimes we are associated with acute personal transformational experiences. In order to live properly – to fulfil our true potential – it is important to understand the concept of closure, endings, and death itself in order to be completely reconciled with it. Every year the cosmos brings you this opportunity.

The 8th house is referred to as the house of death. But this is not literal death (every year your 8th house becomes strong, and you are still around to tell to the story), the influence more about the concept of transformation, closure, endings and letting go. Your spiritual planet Jupiter has spent the past year in your 8th house so you have had a spiritual revelation (either personally or through others) concerning what this means for you at this time.

If you are at the appropriate age, this is a great opportunity for doing estate and tax planning. Money can come to you from tax refunds or insurance claims. It is also a critical period to pay down debt or to refinance debt on better terms. Borrowing (if you need to) is also easier this period. If you have good business ideas, this is a great period to attract outside money for them.

The spouse, partner or current love is still in a yearly financial peak until the 23rd.
Health and energy are effective this month. You can enhance it further by giving greater attention to the fitness plan and proper nutrition until the 7th.
Jupiter makes a major move into your 9th house on the 11th; the Sun will enter on the 23rd. So there is travel in store this month. University students (or applicants) are successful in their educational goals now too.

GEMINI

Last month (and continuing into this month) retrograde activity among the planets came to peak for the year. Even after the 2nd, as Saturn starts moving forwards again, we are on the brink of the peak of retrograde activity. Things move slower in the world at large. Interestingly, you don’t seem too much touched by all this, not in a personal way. Mercury, the ruler of your Horoscope, has been moving speedily – influencing you more than usual. This shows that you are covering a lot of ground and making much personal progress. For you things haven’t slowed down that much.

Mercury’s speed motion indicates good levels of self-confidence and self-esteem. You are never in one place for too long. You are achieving and doing, shifting what has seemed like a fairly stagnant phase in the year.

The other major headline this month is Jupiter’s move into Virgo on the 11th. The last time he was here was twelve years ago. This is an important transit; Jupiter is your love planet, so this move shows significant changes here. Your needs in love are changing. Communication is still important for you in love, but now you want emotional intimacy – emotional sharing – as well. You show love by giving emotional support and this is where you feel loved. Never mind the wisecracks and witticisms now; give and receive emotional support.

The love planet in the sign of Virgo produces other challenges. You and the beloved (and the people you meet) can be as much of a perfectionist in love as you are. This can lead to destructive criticism, which is always a killer for romance. Sometimes accepting and understanding criticism will bring you closer to “perfect harmony”. It will be a challenge to keep the criticism constructive, and to withhold it when the timing is not a good.

In the month, ahead love is strengthened. The 3rd to 8th brings happy romantic opportunities: Venus conjuncts Jupiter from the 3rd to the 6th and Mercury conjuncts the love planet from the 6th to the 8th. Marriage is a likelihood – but not this year anyway –, but the circumstances are happy and moving in the right direction.

Your 4th house of home and family becomes very powerful after the 23rd. Moves or opportunities to move are considered too. There will be more entertaining from home and more socializing with family members. Pursue your career ambitions by using the methods of night- that is dreamtime. Visualize, dream and affirm. Enter, as best you can, the feeling-state of being where you want to become career wise. Later, when the planetary power shifts, you will be in a position to take the necessary actions, overt actions towards these ambitions.

Last month the planetary power delivered an important shift. The lower, subjective sector of the horoscope started to become powerful. Career goals have been more or less been achieved for the time being. Now it is time to build up forces for your next career push early next year. This is the time, symbolically speaking, to get a good night’s sleep, so that the subsequent career push will happen properly. So, between now and then you can also give your time and focus on your family, the domestic situation and your emotional well-being. If these are settled and harmonious, the career plans and ambitions will take care of itself naturally.

The month ahead looks very prosperous. Jupiter enters your money house on the 11th. Your financial planet, Mercury, enters on the 7th and the Sun moves there on the 23rd. You begin a yearly financial peak: for some of you this will be a lifetime peak and for others a multi-year peak. Your Money house is filled with beneficent planets this month. There is a cosmic conspiracy to prosper you. There is luck in speculations these days – especially from the 26th to the 28th.

It seems like there is foreign travel happening this month too. Mars, the ruler of your 9th house, which governs travel, moves into your sign on the 9th and passes the rest of the month there. Sun travels with Jupiter from the 26th to the 28th which also signals travel both for business and for pleasure. These same aspects are very favourable to college-level or postgraduate students. Those applying to college to get good news during this period.

The love life has been excellent all year, and particularly so since the 23rd of last month. By now you should be involved in some happy relationship and there is less need to concentrate on this area.

Your career planet Venus travels with Jupiter from the 3rd to the 6th. This brings career advancement and opportunity. However, as we mentioned, the focus is beginning to shift now. Career opportunities that come should feel emotionally comfortable and should not uproot the family. If not, you can delay any major location shift for now.
Health and energy are excellent these days, in spite of Saturn’s stressful aspect. You look respectable, have plenty of charisma and excel in exercise and athletics. You are at your personal best this month.

LIBRA

Jupiter has been in your 11th house of friends and group activities since July 2014. Over half of the plants are either in or moving through this house this month, so it is a strong social month. In the past year you’ve made new and significant friends, and this month even more. Your knowledge of computers, science and technology has significantly expanded over the same period too. When the 11th house is this fierce people often get their horoscopes done. Your knowledge of astrology and astronomy is considerably increased. The 11th house is where ‘fondest hopes and wishes’ now come to pass. It is a happy kind of month. Full of synchronicity, opportunity, luck and fun.

Jupiter enters your spiritual 12th House on August 11. Mercury entered it on the 7th, while the Sun moves there on the 23rd. This signals that the month ahead (and the rest of the year) is very psychic, so listen to your intuition and keep a dream journal if this interests you.

Be ready for all kinds of experiences that can’t be explained rationally. You will start reading more books on spirituality, psychic phenomena and ESP (extrasensory perception). You will begin to explore your own abilities here. Many of you are on a spiritual path. In those cases, your innate spiritual gifts will become even stronger. Many will even be involved learning more about the subjects, involve yourself in training or courses and eventually translate that into teaching others.

Finances are not yet what they should, or will, be, but they are improving. Saturn begins to move forward on the 2nd. Jupiter makes fabulous aspects to your financial planet Pluto after the 11th. You are entering a prosperous period, but it has not yet reached its fullness. Pluto is still retrograde. Continue to gain conceptual clarity on finance and money and be a lot more involved in setting personal financial goals. Things are in fact much better than they seem at the moment and in the months ahead these influences bear fruit.

Your love planet, Mars, leaves the 10th house of career on the 9th and enters the 11th house. This brings a shift in love attitudes. Where once you were attracted by the power and prestige, now you want friendship and equality. You want someone you can have fun with. This month singles have a great opportunity for an online romance. Romantic opportunities will come from group activities and events too. Friends are playing Cupid.

PISCES

The principal headline this month is the love life. Your 7th house of love becomes very formidable from the 11th onwards. Jupiter makes a major move from your 6th to your 7th house then. Mercury, your love planet, goes in on the 7th. Sun will get into it on the 23rd. You are enclosed in a yearly (and perhaps multi-year) love and social peak now. In the coming months, many of you will marry or come into relationships that are ‘like’ marriage. (And this could happen next year too.) There is a very happy love and social month and year ahead and family life, family planning and celebrating the committed relationship and home is the order of the day.

Love still seems very practical this month, with both your career planet (Jupiter) and your work planet (the Sun) in your 7th house. Moreover, your love planet is in practical Virgo from the 7th to the 27th too. Forget moonlit strolls on the beach, flowers and music. Love is supposed to be very down to earth so keep it grounded and real, the depth of the feelings emerge to deepen the mutual bonds. During this phase it is important to consider people of high status, good supporters, the people who serve your interests in rational ways, the people who can help your career wise. Flowers and moonlit walk and the whisper of sweet nothings are all ephemeral and although nice, concentrate on the practical services you offer which endures in the mind of your beloved. So, this is the type of the month (and year) where the beloved shows his or her love by fixing your computer or changing a flat tyre, or giving career support. This is how you feel loved and this is how you show it, strengthening your already formidable bond.

This month however also shows a potential for an office romance. This can be a co-worker or with a boss or superior – or with someone engaged in your career. Power and prestige are mighty aphrodisiacs this month (and in the year ahead), think very very carefully about this.

Even your health is affected by your love life after the 23rd. It will be important to maintain harmony with the current love or partner. Health and energy are effective until the 23rd but need more attention afterwards. Until the 23rd give attention to the heart (always important for you). After the 23rd the small intestine becomes important. Reflexology, acupuncture or acupressure treatments along the small intestine meridian will be very helpful. Most important, as always, is to have adequate rest. Low energy is primal disease and the primal cause of disease. Prevention is better then cure.

Jupiter’s move on the 11th shows significant career changes happening. The spouse, partner or current love is very involved in your career and is very supportive. It is tolerable now to advance the career by joint and collective means – through networking and through attending or hosting the right kinds of parties. Your personal merits are worthy, but your ability to get ahead with the help of others is perhaps more notable career wise. (This is not just for now with the planets in the western sector of the horoscope, but is a trend for the rest of the year and well into next year too.)

SAGITTARIUS

Very important and favourable changes are taking place month. Jupiter, the ruler of your horoscope, needs to make a major move out of Leo and crosses the Mid-heaven on the 11th. He will be on your 10th house of career for the rest of the year ahead (and well into next year). This shows significant career success, personal success. You are more important than (at least for a while) everyone in your world. You receive honours and recognition. A promotion in your job or in your profession life is apt. You are almost “celebrity” status these days, such is your professional influence now (and this will continue well into next year).

Aside from Jupiter’s move, on the 23rd you enter a yearly career peak as well. For many of you it will be a lifetime peak; for others, a multi-year peak. The planetary power is at its zenith (extreme point) of your horoscope. It is noon, symbolically speaking, in your year. You are exerting more influence in your world now. Pay attention to appearance as this seems to exert an influence career wise. Who you are, how you look, is so important (and perhaps more important) than your professional achievements.

There is tension with a parent or parent figure in your life. Neither you nor this person are right or wrong. You are just seeing things from differing perspectives. Sometimes the parent figure is accurate. Sometimes you are. If you can bridge the differences you can bring about a great deal of healing with each other, and create a stronger foundation of understanding and tolerance for the futire.

Your 9th house became very influential on the 23rd of last month and is still persuasive until the 23rd of this. Review our discussion of this last month. But there’s something else that should be mentioned. Your career goals are superior – stratospheric. Thus, this is a great time to take courses, higher degrees, or seminars in subjects related to the career. The higher the aspiration, the more preparation is obligatory. Study on any subject that helps the career development or desired future direction.

All this ambition, this outer activity, makes the health more delicate after the 23rd. As always, ensure that you get enough sleep. Pursue your career goals calmly and steadily, with plenty of rest periods thrown in. Delegate as much as possible. Avoid impatience (there are countless planets retrograde this month). And, like last month, pay more attention to the heart health with good nutrition and exercise.

A very favourable job opportunity occurs between the 3rd and the 6th, but consider it carefully. You will get a lot of favourable opportunities in the coming year, so don’t jump too early unless you see this mentioned opportunity as a stepping stone, others will follow.

Last month, on the 23rd, planetary power began to rotate. The Eastern, independent sector is now powerful. The planetary power is moving towards you rather than away from you. It is high time to focus on your own interests and desires. It is delightful to be involved with others; and you will have the patience and tolerance to be concerned about their needs. But your specific needs are also important. And you are in the cycle where these should also be dealt with. Now is the time to stand on your own two feet, to practise self-reliance, to take personal responsibility for your happiness. Your people skills are astonishing, but now is now time to develop personal initiative. For the next five months or so, your personal power and independence are strong. Use this time to establish the necessary conditions for happiness. If others don’t go along initially with you (eventually they will), act independently and strive for your own dreams and desires

You are still in a yearly career peak until the 23rd. And the focus should be more there. You seem to be working very hard this month, fending off the competition, meeting deadlines, putting in long hours. But it pays off. Your social graces are still influential in your career, but less so than previous month. Now it is your work ethic that impresses superiors. Uncles or aunts (or these kinds of figures in your life) seem very helpful in the career this month so take advice and listen to those mores experienced then you and whom you respect and like.

Health and energy are still stressful until the 23rd. Like last month, enhance the health by giving attention to the stomach, breasts and diet, until the 9th. Keep moods positive and constructive. Do your best to maintain family harmony (it won’t be easy but do your best). After the 9th pay greater attention to the heart.

By the 23rd, you will have made satisfactory progress in your career and the focus shifts to friends and group activities. Jupiter is brought to your 11th house of friends on the 11th and the Sun follows suit on the 23rd. Taking part in group activities helps the career. However, the other message of this horoscope is that your attention now is expected to be directed toward your friends. (Your own interests are the most important at the moment, but when these are filled, be there for your friends.) A prominent new friendship materializes between the 6th and the 8th. And you will be making many more new friends after the 11th. It is a collective period, but not necessarily a romantic one.
Your love planet remains retrograde all month. Between the 3rd and the 6th, for singles, there is a blissful romantic meeting, but don’t leap into anything serious just yet. Take love slowly and let things develop.

TAURUS

Last month the planets began to work towards an important shift from the Eastern, independent sector to the Western, social sector. This month, from the 9th onwards, this shift is scheduled to end. The western sector will dominate for the rest of the year ahead. This means that the planetary power is moving away from you rather than towards you. The focus is between other people, rather than on your own personal interests and desires. Your good comes through others and not of your peculiar merit or personal actions. The Cosmos impels you to develop your social skills, to attain your ends by consensus and through the co-operation of others. As we have mentioned, there is not anything wrong with self-interest, but you are at a different stage of your cycle. It is difficult now to have things your way, and if the truth be said, your approach is probably not the best way these days a small shift in your attitude with help enormously. Hopefully you have used your creative power to create pleasant circumstances for yourself over the preceding months. Now is not any time for living with your creation. If it is good, you will enjoy the good. If there have been mistakes, you will experience the unpleasantness. When your next cycle of independence comes – early next year – you will be able to sustain the appropriate changes again.

Love, as we mentioned, has not been of particular interest for you for the past few months. However, this is now in the process of change. Jupiter enters your 5th house of fun and love affairs on the 11th and now begins to make pleasing aspects to Pluto, your love planet. Romance is currently starting to happen or deepening a current love interest or partner. Saturn, though, is still in your 7th house and you will still need to relax a bit more in this area. Nonetheless, Saturn will be a party next month and the social life starts to bloom and you will be enjoying the social activities and invitations that the month has to offer.

Jupiter’s move into your 5th house brings opportunities for love affairs, rather than necessarily serious romance. Serious Romance will happen later on, but at least the freeze on love life is beginning to melt.

Health still needs watching until the 23rd. Review our discussion of this in prior month’s forecast. After the 23rd, you will sense a huge improvement. Next month will be healthier than this one as you slowly improve and de-stress.

Your 4th house of home and family became very influential on July 23 and is persuasive until the 23rd of this month. This is a month for making psychological progress. Numerous psychological breakthroughs and insights will come to you. It is quite natural under these transits to become nostalgic, to relive the past, to consider memories of the past. Childhood memories will arise spontaneously and if you examine them from your present perspective of things, healing will happen. Things that were traumatic as a youngster seem like trifles from the contemporary perspective. We can smile at them. And this gets them to lose whatever power they had over us.

VIRGO

On the 11th Jupiter moves into your sign remains there for the rest of the year ahead and well into next year. You begin a multi-year cycle of prosperity. Lady Luck sits beside you. You catch the lucky breaks in life. You are experiencing the good life – the physical and sensual delights – and you have the wherewithal to enjoy it all.

Since you are placed in a long-term cycle of prosperity, now would be a good period to attain clarity on your financial goals and plans. Venus, your financial planet, is retrograde all month. There can be a small delayed manifestation of your prosperity, but it is still happening in the heavens and will appear in due course.

Venus will travel with Jupiter from the 3rd to the 6th. This shows fiscal good fortune, but it might be carried forward. This transit also gives a tendency to overspend, which might not be appropriate just yet, so watch your spending even though there is a promise of higher rewards “cash flow is king” during this phase.

Mercury travels with Jupiter from the 6th to the 8th. This brings financial good news and career success. Nonetheless, as mentioned it might also signal a tendency to overspend so be cautious. A parent or parent figure has a significant financial payday too.

On the 23rd, the Sun crosses your Ascendant and enters your 1st house. You begin one of your yearly personal pleasure peaks. The body gets indulged. The only problem here is weight – there is a trend now (and for the rest of the year) to put on the pounds, so make sure your exercise and nutritional programme is uppermost in your mind.
As we have mentioned, Virgos of childbearing age are very fertile now, and especially this month and so family planning is well met with happy results.

You have been in a strong spiritual period since July 2014, and last month and this, until the 23rd, this is even more noticeable. Your dream life is probably more exciting than your waking life and it might be hard to rouse yourself from it.
